**THE OPPORTUNITY - JOB COACH, EMPLOYMENT SERVICES**

**PAY RATE: $22.00/hr.**

**WHAT YOU WILL DO**
- Assess the client’s employment readiness and identify employment skills and supports required to be competitively employed and assist in developing those skills
- Support the client to explore, obtain and maintain employment
- Build and maintain professional relationships with employers
- Support employers by acting as a resource regarding persons with a disability, and assist to customize the supported employee’s job
- Ongoing review of the supported employee's performance and support required to gain the skills needed to do their job

**WHAT YOU BRING**
We are looking to engage team members with diverse skills, experiences and interests. These are some of the competencies and credentials we are looking for:

- Diploma and/or Degree in Community Rehabilitation, Disability Studies or a related social science
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities or an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience is required
- Previous experience providing employment support is an asset
- Well developed and effective communication skills (written and oral)
- A vehicle and a valid Class 5 Drivers License is mandatory
- Demonstrate a high standard of professionalism aligned with Vecova values
- Maintain a positive working relationship with all Vecova team members
- Represent Vecova in a professional manner
- Demonstrate a high level of initiative and enthusiasm
- Maintain confidentiality at all times
- Demonstrate a high level of administrative and IT capacity
