Reporting to the Director - Collaborative Practice, the Manager - Clinical Innovation is accountable for overall management of the Clinical Learning and Practice and Clinical Scholar Program, which includes the development of organization-wide structures and processes that support the Program and enable the provision of innovative, evidence-based care within a culture of continuous performance improvement in alignment with the strategic priorities of the organization.

Key responsibilities of the position include managing the Clinical Learning and Practice and Clinical Scholar Program; provide leadership and overseeing the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of clinical education opportunities driven by strategic priorities and evidence-informed practices. Proactively assess and determine education programming to meet the needs of clients care that promote nursing and health professional clinical excellence in alignment with applicable legislation, accreditation standards and strategic priorities.

**Qualifications**:
**Education/Experience**:

- Bachelor’s degree in a health related field; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
- Masters in Nursing, or other health-related field preferred
- Understanding of continuous quality improvement principles and practices
- Knowledge of and ability to interpret applicable provincial legislation and related regulations, accreditation and professional standards and practices, safety regulations
- Significant experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a similar role

- Superior ability to communicate effectively and concisely, both orally and in writing
- Committed to excellence with demonstrated clinical competence, leadership qualities and decision making skills
- Demonstrated commitment to continuing education activities supporting ongoing professional learning
- Knowledge of adult education principles and demonstrated coaching abilities
- Ability to think and act strategically in a healthcare sector environment, including the ability to conceptualize and implement change strategies
- Excellent project/time management, analytical/critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Ability to improve effectiveness and efficiency through the management and utilization of human, financial, and physical resources
- Strong leadership skills including the ability to direct, motivate, evaluate, and recognize staff; proven ability to share skills and knowledge with others
- Proven conflict management abilities and mediation skills
- Proficiency with office computer equipment and software
- Competent within the meaning of the Occupational Health & Safety Act

**CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT**
- This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check (CRJMC) where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.
- Will be required to travel to various work locations and provide own transportation
