We are looking for an Accounting Clerk at our Walker Gro-Bark Office, Caledon location for a one year contract.
**(Contract - 1 year) Position Summary**
Reporting directly to the Controller, WEG Organics, the incumbent supports the accuracy and integrity of financial data, working closely with team members and operations staff. The incumbent records, verifies, accrues and analyzes detailed accounting information, and provides data analysis relating to business and operational requirements; project work is identified and undertaken focusing on, but not limited to, improvements to systems and process efficiencies.
**Responsibilities**
- Reconciles fuel inventory delivered to the site and relieves fuel to individual units.
- Completes deposits daily, applies cash payments from physical deposits as well as EFT payments and credit cards.
- Support processing and reconciliation for fuel invoices.
- Administers and reconciles employee advance account to ensure expense reports are submitted in a timely manner, as well as ensuring accurate account coding and proper allocation of taxes.
- Other reasonable duties as assigned, including those given by the Controller
- Provides additional analysis of financial data to respond and resolve inquiries from colleagues as required.

- Demonstrated ability to pay close attention to details, making sure work is completed correctly, thoroughly, and in a timely manner. Keeps accurate records.
- Demonstrated numeric skills to produce accurate work.
- Demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles and guidelines.
- Organized and methodical to structure workflow and follow specific procedures
- Above average computer software skills, including Microsoft Excel and data base related softwares as well as an ERP system to analyze data.
- Business acumen - full understanding of quality standards relative to accounting procedures.
- Able to work with limited supervision and to take discretionary action as required
- Communicates with clarity, verbally and in one on one or group situations, or over the telephone
- Communicates well in writing by composing clear documents; facility with editing and/or proof-reading is required
- Proactive, anticipates and initiates action to meet needs
- Able to work with diverse personalities and styles.
