Summary of Duties: This a contract part time position. The instructor will be responsible for the delivery and co-ordination of our public fire safety education program to school aged children from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8. It will be delivered in the Fire Classroom of the Safety Village.

Position Requirements:
Post Secondary education in the field of fire protection/public education or equivalent with proof of Certification

Previous experience in the development and delivery of public education children would be an asset.

Well developed interpersonal and communications skills.

Sound knowledge of public education principles and instructional techniques and practices

Proven understanding of the components of a fire safety plan and the principles of life safety.

Flexibility relative to the changing needs of the schools attending the village.

Police background check is required.
