We are currently looking for a Protection & Control Electrical Engineer in Training with 1-3 years of experience to join our team. As such, you will be involved in a multidisciplinary team in the realization of projects ranging from feasibility studies to construction.

**How will you contribute to the team?**

The Protection & Control Engineer (Engineer-in-Training) will report to the Engineering Manager, who will provide supervision for the protection & control design work that includes the following:

- Preparation of Protection & Control designs from conceptual to implementation stage for Transmission, Distribution and Generating stations.
- Preparation of Protection & Control single line diagrams, DC/AC control schematics.
- Design and development of panel layouts and bill of materials.
- Design and Development detailed wiring diagrams.
- Development of cable block diagrams and cable and conduit schedules.
- Programming of Protection & Control devices.
- Work on reports and calculations.
- Perform site visits.
- Perform design work in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to deliver projects.

**What will you contribute?**
- Completion of an Electrical Engineering degree program.
- Registration or eligible to be registered with EGBC.
- Must have a good attitude and good work ethic.
- Must have taken courses in Protection in the University.
- Must be willing to learn new technologies and programming of devices.
- Previous electrical design work experience in T&D and or Generation sector is beneficial but is not a requirement.
- Experience in a consulting environment is beneficial but is not a requirement.
- Experience with AutoCAD is beneficial but is not a requirement.
- Experience with PLC programming is beneficial but is not a requirement.
- Demonstrated excellent written and oral English communication skills.
