Position**:Truck Mounted Attenuator Operator**

**Job Summary**:
As a Truck Mounted Attenuator Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating a specialized vehicle equipped with a Truck Mounted Attenuator system, designed to protect construction and maintenance crews working on or near roadways. You will play a vital role in safeguarding workers and motorists alike by deploying the TMA in work zones, maintaining a safe distance from workers, and mitigating potential collisions.

**Responsibilities**:

- Safely operate the Truck Mounted Attenuator vehicle in accordance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Transport the TMA unit to construction sites and set up the attenuator system as needed.
- Position and adjust the TMA to provide maximum protection to work crews and motorists in active work zones.
- Monitor and maintain the TMA system to ensure it is always fully functional and ready for deployment.
- Collaborate with construction crews and traffic control personnel to ensure seamless operation and adherence to safety protocols.
- Stay vigilant and alert while on duty, quickly responding to any potential hazards or emergencies.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on the TMA vehicle to ensure its optimal performance.
- Keep accurate records of daily activities, maintenance logs, and any incidents that occur during operations.
- Participate in safety meetings and training sessions as required by the company.
- Qualifications:

- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements to operate a Truck Mounted Attenuator vehicle.
- Proven experience in operating heavy vehicles, preferably with experience in driving commercial trucks or construction equipment.
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and work zone protocols.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to stay focused and attentive during long periods of operation.
- Ability to perform routine maintenance tasks on the TMA vehicle.
- Physical fitness to carry out the duties of the job, which may include lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- A strong commitment to safety and a track record of adhering to safety guidelines.

**Preferred**:

- Previous experience operating a Truck Mounted Attenuator or similar traffic control equipment.
- Additional certifications related to construction safety and traffic control.

**Salary**: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
