**TACTICAL SECURITY GUARD**

Permenant Full Time Position
40 Hours Total
- Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays (10hr shifts)

8pm - 6am
- Saturdays & Sundays (5hr shifts)

4pm - 9pm

**Homeless Shelter, Access Control**

Seeking experienced Tactical Security personnel to conduct access control duties at a local homeless shelter.

**Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays**
You will be stationed within an office, recording the commings and goings of 3rd floor residents. You will also conduct hourly patrols of the 3rd floor, searching for prohibited activity, and other safety related concerns.

**Saturdays & Sundays**
You and a partner will assist staff in a Drop-In cafeteria. Your primary task will be the personal protection of the staff, but other duties include preventing unauthorized persons from entering, monitoring for safety concerns, and physical intervention when required.

The site has rules to help mitigate those who pose a safety risk from entering the facility. However, do to the nature of the site, you can expect to see civil disobedience, intoxication, mental health, and drug abuse.

This position offers valuable experience to those whom are interested in pursuing a career in law enforcement (particularly Corrections).

**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**
- **Must hold a valid MB Security Guard license. **_Please indicate your license number on your resume for verification._
- **Must be physically capable of extended patrols on foot, and standing for extended periods.**:

- **Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.**

**WHAT TO EXPECT**

Tacit Security personnel are responsible for ensuring our client’s safety and security. They are held to the highest level of professionalism in the course of executing their duties, ensuring that all uniforms and equipment are properly fitted, worn, clean, and functional. Many of our members are well trained, and come with years of experience and expertise in various aspects of Security. Once within our ranks, you will be tasked with patrols and inspections of the properties we protect, with the goal of mitigating and responding to fire, theft, vandalism, illegal activity, and any other threats to the safety and security of our clients and their assets. You will be the first line of defense against many of these threats, and will often make the initial contact with appropriate Emergency Response organizations, such as EMS, Police, and Fire departments. You are a problem solver, and will make quick decisions under stressful situations. Utilizing industry leading technology, you will document evidence and complete daily reports outlining observations and activities during assigned shifts.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $16.00 per hour
