**Job Summary**
- As the only dental school in Atlantic Canada, the Faculty of Dentistry has been offering an outstanding education in dentistry and dental hygiene for more than 100 years, and is a key part of Dalhousie’s inter-professional and allied health community that includes the Faculties of Medicine and Health. Reporting to the Faculty’s Managing Director (MD), Research & Graduate Studies, the Research Support Associate will carry out Faculty level initiatives developed to support researchers and research development in the Faculty of Dentistry.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Informs and advises researchers of funding opportunities, programs, guidelines, deadlines, and processes associated with them.
- Advises and assists with research ethics board (REB) submissions and renewals and provides advice on appropriate research design and methodology with support from the Managing Director as needed.
- Works with the Managing Director to support the development and delivery of research related meetings and events such as training opportunities, lunch and learn sessions, and research day.
- Tracks research activities including submissions for funding, publications, and trainees and supports annual research benchmarking reporting activities under the direction of the Managing Director.

**Note**
The successful applicant will be eligible for hybrid work (combination of in-person work on campus and remote work) as agreed by all parties based on operational requirements and university guidelines.

**Required Qualifications**
- Undergraduate degree in a related field plus approximately three years’ related experience in a research setting (or an equivalent combination of training and experience).
- Previous research experience including quantitative and/or qualitative research methods and statistics.
- Experience using SPSS or other statistical analysis software is required.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Access and Excel).
