**Job description**

Fil-Trek Corporation is a leading manufacturer of industrial filtration equipment for customers around the globe.

We are currently recruiting for a Purchaser.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Obtain quotes from vendors on various products as required by the maintenance department to support the efficient operations.
- Expedite orders, when necessary, effectively manage expedites to eliminate emergency surcharges.
- Manage requested plant or office maintenance, repair, operations equipment, services.
- Provide support (quotes/options) in response to requests for maintenance, repair, operations equipment, services, for plant and office.
- Negotiate pricing and delivery; follow-up on orders to ensure that they arrive in a timely manner.
- Ensure that all requisitions have the proper sign off, secure the good or service.
- Monitor MROs inventory.
- Maintain good relations with providers.
- Maintain good relations with internal clients by providing them with a good service.
- Assess MRO provider performance periodically.
- Make comparisons in order to recommend MRO providers which are the best option, thus benefiting the company.
- Maintain the cost-quality relation, pursuing the maximum savings for the company.
- Generate continuous improvement projects for processes related to MRO purchases.
- Meet with supplier representatives to keep up to date on products and pricing.
- Ensuring the adherence to ASME Section VIII policies and any other industry standards in all activities.
- Maintain and organize files on suppliers, special projects and requisitions that are issued.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years' purchasing experience.
- Extensive knowledge of purchasing within a manufacturing environment.
- Accomplished communication skills with experience discussing finances, budgets and costs.
- Proven history of successful supplier negotiation.
- Able to demonstrate continuous improvement through purchasing processes.
- First-rate time management and organizational skills with the ability to work to strict deadlines and under pressure.
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook.
- Wage will be dependent on experience.
