**About the Role**:
Global BC is currently seeking a full-time Video Content Producer to join the Marketing team. This position is part of the Global News team which produces local newscasts 7 days a week. This role will work on video creative for all platforms; promotional spots, community partnerships and special projects consisting of writing, editing and production of image and topical marketing campaigns and promotional initiatives for the Global News brand in BC, on all platforms. The Video Content Producer will work closely with the Senior Regional Marketing Manager and the local News Marketing Team, as well as with the newsrooms in both Vancouver and Kelowna to proactively identify promotable content and build strategies and the creative to promote that content. This is a Group 4 position under the current collective agreement.

**You will contribute by**:
The following is an outline of some but not all of the primary functions and responsibilities for this position:

- Work closely with the Senior Regional Marketing Manager and the Marketing and Community Supervisor to become an expert on our product and to shape and grow the Global News brand.
- Create exceptionally compelling promotional video content for the station and its advertising and community partners.
- Must demonstrate excellent creative writing and editing skills.
- Ability to provide achievable creative concept ideas and develop them. Write, produce, direct, and edit the production of those concepts and various television and digital marketing assets as well as non-broadcast video material (this includes image, topical and proof of performance promos and social media video)
- Planning video production timelines and working within a production budget.
- Write copy for video teases and headlines as required on all platforms.
- Coordinate and ensure excellent video execution of community partnerships and additional creative to support our Global News platforms (ie. BC1, OTT Streams, social media)
- Meet and present promotional concepts to the Regional Marketing Manager and local News Director when required.
- Multitask, develop and complete creative projects on tight deadlines by managing various assignments and projects including workback schedules.
- Scheduling and directing talent when required.
- Producing and editing branded video and digital video content pieces for social media.
- Delivering creative to multi-platforms.

**Skills and Experience you will bring**:

- Post-secondary education in Broadcast Media Studies, Marketing, Communications, Digital Video Production, or Film is preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of the production process including but not limited to creative writing skills, production processes/planning, directing talent, familiarity with 4K, HD and SD formats, directing EFP on-location and studio shoots when required; working with branded animations and graphics, proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro Editing, directing voice over talent when required.
- Production knowledge including shooting and graphic design is an asset.
- The ability to develop a good understanding of marketing trends and related metrics.
- Knowledge of video requirements for digital platforms, including the various social networks (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.), is an asset.
- Solid understanding of the Global News brand and audience in BC is an asset.
- You are a professional team player with excellent communication and presentation skills both written and verbal. You must clearly communicate and work with talent, producers, DOPs, editors, artists, project managers, management, and community/station partners.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple projects at one time.
- Attention to detail and quality focus.
- Must also work well under pressure, with tight deadlines, possess a desire to be the best, and have a positive can-do attitude.
- Ability to work independently, be accountable to the team, and trustworthy.
- This position may involve a variety of shifts that may include early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
