**WHAT YOU’LL DO**:
The Registrar serves as a first point of contact for PRHC patients and clients and is thus responsible for providing exceptional customer service from the outset of the patient experience. Responsibilities include: reception duties, registration of patients & confirmation of demographic data, patient admission & discharge, data quality, facilitation of payment, assisting those with accessibility needs, wayfinding, and non-clinical patient assistance (responding to general inquiries, directing patients and visitors to the most appropriate clinical team member, aiding patients to obtain services).

**WHAT YOU’LL BRING**:

- Grade 12 diploma or GED required
- Successful completion of a Medical Office Support Staff Certification, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Nonessential: Ward Clerk Certificate

**WHO YOU ARE**:

- Demonstrated basic knowledge of the Microsoft office suite and good computer skills
- Demonstrated customer focused/driven attitude and positive customer philosophy
- Accurate keyboarding skills (40 wpm)
- Able to use standard office equipment including a computer, laser printer, label printer, fax machine, multifunction photocopier, calculator, telephone and registration kiosks
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and follow current privacy regulations.
- Excellent written, verbal and listening communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively over the telephone, with patients/families, staff and physicians and the community
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and use good judgement when making decisions
- Demonstrated good team work skills and ability to work collaboratively and promote a positive attitude within the team
- Excellent organizational, problem solving and time management skills in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to work with precision and accuracy with attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated patience and flexibility to support multiple client demands
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task when facing multiple demands in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to maintain good attendance and punctuality
- Ability to remain calm during emergency situations and carefully follow code procedures
- Demonstrated ability to complete work accurately and meet deadlines
- Experience working with Epic considered an asset
- Experience working with the public considered an asset
