**Summary**:
We are currently hiring for a **Skilled Labourer** who considers Safety a number one priority. Reporting to the Field Operations Director, you will be working as part of our project team providing support on various construction tasks. **This role is employed through CLAC, and membership will be required once hired.**
**Roles & Responsibilities**
- Willing and able to perform physically demanding work including the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Adherence and participation in the Scott Construction Health & Safety Program
- Clean up, shoveling, moving materials.
- Open/unlock the site and close the site daily. Gates, fence up and down and handed over to our security gourds.
- Garbage and Waste removal.
- Load and unload construction materials and move materials to work areas.
- Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades.
- Assist carpenters in construction activities.
- Assist in demolishing buildings using prying bars and other tools, and sort, clean and pile salvaged materials.
- Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows, and other equipment.
- Use and proficiency on some power tools.
- Able to perform:
- Demolition. Digging, Backfill, Compaction. Dewatering. Dismantle forms, non-engineered hoarding and fencing, Grading. Slab on grade prep. Rodman.
- Operate pneumatic hammers, vibrators and tampers as directed.
- Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction such as mixers, compressors, and pumps.
- Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants and remove asbestos and other hazardous materials.
- Oil and grease hoists and similar equipment.
- Direct traffic at or near construction sites.
- Perform other activities at construction sites, as directed.

**Qualifications**
- Valid SiteReadyBC, Fall Protection, and Level 1 First Aid tickets, Telehandler ticket an asset.
- At least 1 year of construction site experience
- Good communication skills and strong focus on client relationships
Pay: $22.71-$34.05 per hour
