The Die Cut and Folder Gluer Operator is responsible for the safe set-up and operation of the die cutting equipment and folder gluer machine within the department. The Die Cut and Folder Gluer Operator will set up and operate the die cut and folder gluer machine to cut and finish the jobs according to specifications. This individual will meet or exceed production, quality and efficiency requirements at all times.

Die Cutting and Folder Gluer Operations
- Operate equipment/ machine to produce orders.
- Read and understand docket instructions and specifications, seeking clarification and guidance as necessary.
- Set-up, operate and run die cutting and folder gluer machine in keeping with required specifications and requirements.
- Input the appropriate configuration based on job specifications and requirements.
- Locate appropriate job order and load into the feeding end of the machine.
- Retrieve applicable dies and other materials needed for the job run, checking for damage or issues.
- Perform quality controls on the assigned machine/ equipment.
- Troubleshoot breakdowns, conduct minor repairs, and perform routine maintenance.
- Operate assigned equipment/machine in accordance with operating procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma/GED with experience or vocational/technical certification.
- Possess a strong knowledge of all die cutting and folder gluer functions.
- Previous print knowledge/experience is an asset.
- Previous experience in operating machinery is an asset.
- Strong interpersonal skills e.g. working well with others, communication, positive attitude.
- Basic computer skills
- Good written, verbal and mathematical skills.
- Good attention to detail and hand eye coordination.
- Able to work independently and as a member of the team.
- Reliable attendance, punctuality and attention to workstation.
- Meet or exceed minimum test results as specified by the hiring manager.

**Working Conditions**:

- Standing for prolonged periods of time - up to 8 hours or more per day.
- Frequent lifting of objects up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, and twisting is required.
- Work area may have fluorescent lighting and air conditioning.
- Noise level is usually moderate to loud.
- Exposure to ink and chemical fumes, and airborne particles such as paper dust and drying powder.
- Appearance at all times must represent the company image.
- Additional hours may be required due to operational requirements.
