**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Surgical Wait Time Reporting and Surgical Program Data Analysis:_
- Ensure compliance with surgical wait time information reporting requirements
- Work with program leaders and Decision Support to develop reports and provide analysis to meet reporting and program evaluation needs
- Provide regular reports to access compliance with surgical wait time standards
- Perform planned and ad hoc data analysis on items such as, but not limited to, productivity reports, activity budgets, program performance, and other financial and statistical information
- Prepare custom reports for day to day business use and data quality/validation purposes
- Investigate relevant data sources for decision-making, aggregating data sources and providing interpretation summaries and recommendations for decision-making
- Perform regular reconciliations to ensure quality of data within surgical wait times systems
- Interfacing with Internal and External Customers:_
- As Local Registration Authority (LRA) for the provincial wait times and Novari ATC systems at the hospital, manage account access and provide ongoing support and system training for users
- Has a direct relationship with the provincial wait times information office (WTIO) and Novari support to receive and disseminate communications to appropriate end users
- Work with program leaders, surgeons, office users, and hospital staff to manage wait times and to identify and resolve errors - escalate errors to WTIO and/or Novari support as needed
- Act as a knowledge source for information and provide management and surgeons with the appropriate tools, evidence, and knowledge to optimize effective administrative and clinical decision-making ensuring the integrity and quality of performance scorecard and performance metrics;
- Work with perioperative program leadership and Decision Support to identify strategies to reduce and manage surgical wait times
- Demonstrates QCH values:collaboartion, accountability, innovation and respect

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Requires a university bachelor’s degree - preferably in health informatics, statistics, economics, commerce, or business/health administration
- A minimum of three (3) years experience in a clinical or health care environment
- In lieu of formal education: a commensurate level of experience - five (5) years experience, of which three (3) must be in a clinical/health care environment

**PREFERRED**:

- Professional accounting/health information/project management designation (or a willingness to working towards)
- Knowledge of operating room processes and systems as well as the Wait Time Information System (WTIS)
- Exposure to Business Intelligence tools and processes
- Extensive knowledge of statistics and data analysis, and expertise in quality management, knowledge management, project management, MIS Guidelines/OHRS, and hospital funding systems
- Sound organizational and project management skills with the ability to multi-task and meet conflicting and concurrent deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, and ability to effectively act as an agent for QCH with internal and external agency contacts
