Toronto, Canada Zekelman Industries Full time

Z-Modular, a division of Zekelman Industries, seeks a **Warehouse Manager** for our location in Kitchener, ON. Reporting to the Plant Manager. This position will supervise the shift production crew and coordinate with multiple departments to ensure production requirements are supported and satisfied.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Collaborate with other functional departments to ensure that production and quality standards are achieved
- Provide technical expertise and training to all areas of the department
- Perform activities related to training, troubleshooting or absentee coverage
- Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies/procedures.
- Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing & new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
- Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
- Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning & implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair & requisitions for replacement.
- Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling & assigning employees; following up on work results. Provide technical expertise and training to all areas
- Work safely following established workplace safety practices
- Review daily operating reports and report operational, manufacturing, and maintenance issues and shift events to leads to prevent operational delays
- Troubleshoot operational problems to improve quality and efficiency
- Build and maintain a positive team-oriented environment amongst production personnel
- Evaluate employee performance objectively based upon the job requirements and behavioral indicators of performance
- Identify areas of improvement in staff and provide corrective action to personnel in coordination with plant management and Human Resources
- Obtain immediate medical treatment for all injuries
- Notify appropriate management and enter required events (accidents, injuries, incidents) into Intelex in real time
- Other duties as assigned
- Follow Master Production Schedule and ensure the objectives of this schedule are met

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- University degree, Technical Diploma or equivalent experience in manufacturing and/or construction industries required
- At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing and/or construction facility
- Ability to demonstrate thorough understanding of manufacturing and construction processes. Detailed knowledge of the relationship between work centers and how variables at each work center affect other areas.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft office package including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Experience in Shop Floor interfaces such as MES, as well as, ERP usage such as SAP, D365 or Oracle based platforms
- Proven leadership skills
- Top-notch communications skills, both verbal and written
- Regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance per the posted schedule is an essential function of this role
- Lead and promote health and safety work practices as required by regulatory agencies and company policy

**Salary**: $53,778.04-$100,833.37 per year

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift

**Experience**:
