**Profile**
As a key member of MODC’s Strategy Office, the Change Manager will be responsible for change management in the context of MODC’s multi-year strategic transformation program, comprising multiple workstreams and individual projects. The role will report to the VP, Strategy, Research and External Affairs, with an indirect reporting relationship to the Director, People and Culture Transformation.
Working directly with MODC’s Strategy Office, a cross-functional transformation team and the People and Culture department, the Change Manager will collaboratively develop and manage execution of a change management plan supporting the transformation program. This includes situational assessments, development of the core change management plan and any required secondary plans or sub-plans, and management and delivery of identified change management activities including but not limited to communications, coaching, training and other capacity building to drive effective adoption and sustained behaviour change. A strong advocate for the people side of change, they will proactively identify, escalate and address people-related issues in the context of the transformation program, working with a range of internal stakeholders in the process.
The incumbent will be a seasoned change manager with experience managing transformational change programs in mid-sized to large organizations. They will bring strong leadership skills, and be an excellent listener, communicator and relationship builder who can comfortably engage with a range of internal stakeholders, from executive leaders to frontline people managers and staff. Above all a team player, they will be adept at, and highly invested in, supporting others’ to understand and participate effectively in the change management process through coaching, training and facilitation.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Design and lead a change management plan with MODC’s multi-year strategic transformation program and specific projects within it, leveraging a structured change management methodology, process and tools
- Ensure the integration of change management activities into the master program plan and specific project plans
- Assess change readiness and impact at all levels of the organization, identifying key stakeholders and identifying points of concern and resistance
- Support and engage senior organizational leaders to effectively sponsor and champion change
- Directly coach people managers and supervisors to support effective change management
- Enable the design, development, delivery and management of key communications to support wide understanding, adoption and support of the transformation program
- Collaborate with People & Culture to provide input, document requirements, and support the design and delivery of training programs
- Define, measure, analyze and monitor change activities, analytics and metrics, and report on performance and success of change efforts
- Collaborate with project managers and staff to ensure best practices are consistently applied to overall program management and within individual projects
- Establish tools and processes, and provides coaching and support to enhance internal change management capacity
- Resolve complex issues and conflicts, escalating to the executive level where required
- Work independently and handle non-routine situations
- Adhere to privacy and confidentiality best practices
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Prosci change management certification
- Project management certification an asset
- A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in organizational change management program design and implementation
- Experience with large-scale organizational change efforts
- Experience working in a transformation office model is an asset
- Knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools
- Excellent communication and persuasion skills, with the ability to articulate messages to a variety of audiences

- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional relationships with diverse stakeholders, up to and including the executive level
