**What we are looking for**:
The Revenue Cycle and Receivables Associate handles all patient accounts with respect to Revenue and Receivables; you are expected to be able to perform transactional tasks as well as process complete reviews and analysis for patients with all types of insurances which include but are not limited to Uninsured Residents, Visitors to Canada, OHIP, WSIB, and Interprovincial status’. You will also work with departments to review opportunities for improvements in revenue capture and collectability of amounts due to the Hospital. In addition, you will analyze unpaid account balances and deal directly with external collection agencies and insurance companies world wide. You will also be in daily contact with physicians and their offices directly. You are expected to manage patient related telephone inquiries, billings, and related interaction with patients’ families including the operation and reconciliation of the cash desk window. This position will be assigned other duties within the Financial Services Department as required.

**What you bring to the role**:
Complex understanding of all patient types and insurances
Community college diploma with an accounting emphasis or a minimum of two years’ relevant Healthcare A/R and accounting experience
A proven effective customer service approach
A good work ethic that demonstrates that you take pride in your work
Excellent communication, organizational and prioritizing skills
Financial experience in a computerized healthcare facility is preferred
Experience with Meditech and knowledge of medical terminology and billing is an asset
Ability to work independently in a fast paced and highly demanding environment
Able to deliver high quality of work with competing deadlines
Demonstrated good attendance and performance records with the ability to maintain these same standards
Demonstrates a commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others (staff, patients, families, etc.) by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with organization related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices and completing relevant mandatory education as required

Work Schedule

Primarily days - Monday to Friday 0800-1600 with flexibility to meet needs of the department. In office work only. Schedules may change based on operational needs.

Compensation

**Band CUP C03**: $23.90 - $26.89 per hour
