Atlas Global Brands Inc. is seeking an experienced, reliable, enthusiastic individual for the Corporate Controller position, who will be responsible for all the company and its subsidiaries accounting tasks, ensuring that everything is done within compliance. Guiding financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures. Enforcing and maintaining internal controls to ensure the financial condition of the Organization is positive. Managing the Finance department to ensure all tasks for monthly, quarterly and yearly filing is adhered to.

**Skills and Abilities**
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization
- Ability to read, write and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
- Highly proficient with calculating figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, and volume.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills; high degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality
- Leadership and supervisory experience may be required
- Business acumen to oversee the budgetary control issues, project management and continuous improvement initiatives of the company.
- Advanced computer skills: competency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, Powerpoint), SharePoint and other financial ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics GP, QuickBooks, Ample Organic)
- Proficient in spoken and written English.

**Role and Responsibilities**

Financial Reporting
- Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition
- Review and publish monthly financial statements timely
- Supervise the development and implementation of financial simulation models
- Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
- Research technical accounting issues for compliance
- Support month-end and year-end close process
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Conduct periodic audits and work with external auditors to complete regulatory filing.

Treasury and Risk Management Functions
- Oversee and process of weekly cheque/payment, register for vendor accounts payable.
- Coordinate the financial planning and budget process, and analyze and correct estimates
- Processing of receipt of funds by cheque, electronic and wire transfers.
- Assist with treasury functions for transfers to/from short-term investment accounts.
- Assist with maintenance of corporate insurance programs.

Management Functions
- Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operation of an accounting, audit or other financial department
- Recruit, organize, train and manage staff
- Evaluate financial reporting systems, accounting procedures and investment activities and make recommendations for changes to procedures, operating systems, budgets and other financial control functions to senior managers and other department or regional managers
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Develop and implement the financial policies, systems and procedures of an establishment
- Act as liaison between the organization and its shareholders, the investing public and external financial analysts
- Establish profitability standards for investment activities and handle mergers and/or acquisitions
- Notify and report to senior management concerning any trends that are critical to the organization's financial performance
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and other cost-benefit analyses and financial managements reports with variances

**Qualifications**

Required
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Economics, Commerce or other related areas is required; Master degree preferred with a strong concentration in Finance
- 5 - 10 years of related experience
- CPA designation required
- Strong proficiency in general ledger software and MS Office, including the ability to operate the computerized accounting and spreadsheet programs
