L'Association d'études canadiennes/Institut Metropolis est à la recherche d'un(e) Coordinateur/trice aux événements et aux communications à temps plein (35 heures par semaine), qui soit fortement polyvalent(e) et doté(e) de solides compétences organisationnelles, afin de rejoindre notre équipe qui travaille sur un certain nombre de domaines liés à la planification, l'organisation et la mise en œuvre de conférences et d'événements en présentiel (et en ligne) sur la migration, l’intégration et la diversité au Canada.

**Tâches et responsabilités**

Ce poste nécessite que la ou le Coordinateur/trice aux événements et aux communications soutienne le parachèvement des conférences Metropolis et de tous les événements et activités qui y sont associés de manière efficace. En collaboration avec l'équipe chargée des événements, le/la titulaire du poste assurera la gestion des inscriptions et d'autres tâches de saisie de données, contribuera à la gestion des communications avec les participants aux congrès, et sera tenu d’élaborer le contenu du site Web du congrès et de la plateforme virtuelle pour les événements, et devra accomplir diverses tâches liées à l'organisation et au déroulement d'événements et de conférences en présentiel et en ligne. Le/la Coordinateur/trice aux événements et aux communications assumera un rôle de premier plan pour assurer le succès des congrès de Metropolis Canada sur l'immigration et l'établissement ainsi que d'autres conférences, forums et événements.

**Exigences et compétences souhaitées**
- Capacité à gérer et à mettre à jour des bases de données à l'aide des tableurs Excel.
- Doit être flexible et avoir démontré sa capacité à travailler dans un environnement au rythme rapide, tout en gérant de multiples priorités.
- Expérience des plateformes de médias sociaux, notamment Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn et YouTube.
- Connaissance des outils d'analyse des médias sociaux
- Une expérience dans l'organisation d'événements virtuels et en présentiel est fortement souhaitée.
- Avoir le souci du détail est fortement souhaité.
- Détenir d'excellentes compétences en communication verbale et écrite en anglais est fortement souhaitable ainsi que des compétences en communication en langue française est recommandable.
- Être très organisé(e) et détenir d’excellentes compétences en matière de service à la clientèle pour répondre aux demandes de renseignements par courriel que ce soit en français et en anglais, ceci étant préférable.
- La connaissance de Canva ou Adobe Creative suite et la capacité à créer et concevoir des documents tels que des appels à propositions, des programmes de conférences, etc. (un plus) souhaitable.
- Une expérience dans les tâches en matière de communication est souhaitable.
- Bonne connaissance de Microsoft Word et Excel, et de la Suite Google.
- Bonne connaissance de Wordpress et Mailchimp.
- Expérience de la gestion de sites web WordPress

**Events and Communications Coordinator**

The Association for Canadian Studies/Metropolis Institute is seeking a full-time (35 hours per week) Events and Communications Coordinator with strong multi-tasking and organizational skills to join our team. The Coordinator will work on a number of areas related to the planning, organization, and implementation of face-to-face (and online) conferences and events related to migration, integration, and diversity in Canada.

**Tasks and Responsibilities**

This position requires the Events and Communications Coordinator to support the effective delivery of the Metropolis conferences and all the events and activities associated with it. Working with the events team, the individual will manage registration and other data entry tasks, assist in managing communications with conference delegates, and develop content for the conference website and virtual event platform, as well as a variety of duties associated with the running of online and in-person events and conferences. The Events and Communications Coordinator will play an invaluable role in ensuring the success of the Metropolis Canada conferences on immigration and settlement as well as other conferences, forums and events.
