The **John Noble Home **(JNH) is a “Class A” facility and has a proud and long-standing care-giving tradition, dating back to 1881. Today, we offer several different quality programs devoted to senior housing, care, and services that operate within our care campus. All meet and serve the needs of both Brant County and the City of Brantford and their respective constituents as we are a municipally operated and governed facility. The John Noble Home consists of 156 long term care beds with planned expansion, a community-based day & stay program and senior’s apartments.

The HR Summer Student will work closely with the HR Associate on a number of Human Resources Projects and provide administrative support where required. The HR Summer Student will have the opportunity to work on a number of new and ongoing HR initiatives in the Home. Additionally, the HR Summer Student will also have the opportunity to work with different Managers across the organization on special projects.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
The HR Summer Student will:

- Perform data collection and organization with direction from the HR Associate
- Assist Human Resources and Department Managers in preparing and updating Job Descriptions and Job Postings
- Assist with recording and reporting HR metrics
- Assist in different HR Initiatives

**KEY REQUIREMENTS**:
The HR Summer Student will:

- Be working towards a degree/certificate in Business, Administration or Human Resources Management
- Have effective communication skills
- Have the ability to work in a team or in an independent environment
- Be legally eligible to work in Canada
- Be between the ages of 15 and 30 years old at the start of employment
- Meet all requirements set out under the Canada Summer Jobs Program

This is a Temporary Eight (8) Week contract placement that will commence on June 3, 2024. This position will be paid $16.55 per hour with an additional 4% vacation pay. This position will work on site from 8:30am-4:30pm Monday to Friday.

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 8 weeks

Pay: $16.65 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
