Front Line Community Care Crew

Our Community Care Crew are critical in providing direct assistance and support to individuals experiencing homelessness and utilizing shelter services at both Monarch Landing and Bridge 2 Home. Community Care Crew play a crucial role in creating a safe and welcoming environment while helping guests access necessary services and resources. Community Care shifts are staffed 24/7 to meet current community needs. This role is essential in providing immediate assistance and support to Guests with a housing focused philosophy.

**Requirements**:
- Prior experience working with homeless populations and/or vulnerable populations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written
- Empathy, patience, and the ability to handle challenging situations professionally.
- Basic knowledge of social services and available community resources.
- Ability to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist Guests with compassion and respect, providing support for immediate needs, including access to shelter, food, clothing, and hygiene facilities.
- Monitor the safety and security of Guests as per organizational safety procedures.
- Assist in the intake process, which involves documenting Guest information, assessing immediate needs, and assigning sleeping accommodations.
- Basic assessments to identify Guests' needs and provide referrals as necessary
- Address conflict among Guests and promote a respectful atmosphere.
- Recognize and respond to emergencies, including contacting medical professionals or emergency services as required.
- Connect guests with available resources and services, such as social services agencies, healthcare providers, employment assistance, and housing programs.
- Maintain accurate records of all Guest interactions in HIFIS, incidents, and communications. Ensure confidentiality and compliance with data privacy regulations.
- Perform light cleaning duties to maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the facility.
- Foster a non-judgemental environment by offering guests emotional support and encouragement as they navigate their personal journeys and housing needs.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.00-$21.00 per hour
