The **Information Services Division** are technology leaders, planning and delivering successful solutions with information management and information technology (IM/IT) services.

**The Role**: The Service Design Specialist works with teams to provide leadership, expertise and creative solutions to service design, user experience design and digital services. You lead user research and work to reorient organizations and services around user needs. This position works closely with ministry program areas to build an end-to-end, and front (user experience) to back (organizational systems) understanding of government services.

**Job Requirements**:

- Degree or diploma in Service Design, User Experience (UX) Design, Interaction Design, Computer Science, Social Sciences or related discipline; **OR**:

- An equivalent combination of related experience and/or education may be considered.
- A minimum of 1 year of training or experience in utilizing user-centred design methods to design and deliver services including experience in each of the following:

- User research;
- Prototyping;
- UX design.

**Preference may be given to applicants with**:

- Experience with interaction design.
- Experience with information architecture or content strategy.
- Experience working in an agile, digital product
- focused development environment with user experience teams, designers, and developers to iteratively create and improve digital products and services.

This position may be located in any Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction office: Abbotsford, Burnaby, Chilliwack, Coquitlam, Fort St John, Kamloops, Kelowna, Maple Ridge, Nanaimo, Prince George, Surrey, Vancouver, Vernon, Victoria, White Rock, or Williams Lake.
