We seek a Manager of Compensation to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Compensation functions at the hospital. Duties of the role will include but not limited to:

- Administer and maintain the various compensation programs and ranges within the hospital.
- Facilitate the job evaluation and appeals processes.
- Evaluate and provisionally rate new non-union roles.
- Manage compensation and vacation step progression.
- Complete and conduct salary surveys.
- Adjust compensation rates for employees returning from leaves of absence.
- Investigate and resolve disputes related to compensation and vacation.
- Administer due diligence to ensure Pay Equity compliance.
- Respond to external salary survey requests.
- Represent Sunnybrook at Compensation & Benefit Network and similar external meetings.
- Provide expertise to HR Team in matters related to compensation practices, historical practices, benchmarking and implementation processes.
- Provide advice and guidance to managers, payroll staff and other Human Resources staff with complex and non-routine problems or inquiries regarding compensation levels, discrepancies and forecasting issues.
- Manage and support the work of the Compensation & Benefits Analyst.

**Qualifications/Skills**:

- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, coupled with exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to be a team player.
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or other equivalent education.
- CHRL designation an asset
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working in compensation and benefits preferably within a hospital.
- Strong technical/analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven customer service and team building skills.
- Excellent working knowledge of Excel and Access.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently and work within tight timelines.
