The position of Roofing Coordinator is a skilled role and is very similar to a Project Coordinator. The Roofing Coordinator is responsible for directing, organizing, and controlling the activities involved with commercial and industrial roofing projects.**Responsibilities**:

- Receives job folders, material lists and shop drawings etc. to start submittal package
- Verifies job specifications with estimate to gather and provide the client the following submittals for approval:

- MSDS & Product Data
- LEED Package (If specified)
- Shop Drawings
- Material & Colour Samples
- Project Schedule
- Relays job details to the safety coordinator to obtain the project safety binder
- Generates and submits WCB Notice of Project
- Prepares material order sheets in collaboration with Production Manager and Administrator
- Orders materials and supplies as per job requirements, as well as ensuring proper equipment is available and arranged
- Coordinates the logistics and movement of all materials, rentals and equipment for up to 25 projects simultaneously
- Tracks status of all purchased goods (delivery dates, issues/risks, etc.) and reports to Superintendents and Foremen
- Assists Production Manager and Superintendents with preparing prices for extras or credits
- High volume file management with the assistance from Administrator, ensuring files are complete, all authorizations and information is present for work completed
- Ensures change orders are properly documented, accounted for and entered into Dynamics
- Communicates and notifies Consultants and Manufacturing agents on daily basis regarding current job status
- Provides project crew lists to the safety and roofing departments on daily basis
- Maintains physical and electronic files and/or organizational systems and archives documents
- Coordinates with Superintendents and Foremen the allocation of all roofing department trucks, tracks their whereabouts by maintaining the sign in/out sheet
- Generates Flynn Store tickets for Superintendent and Foremen
- Provides vacation/away relief for Roofing Administrator
- Provides support to Superintendents on daily basis with requests as required via company cell phone
- Works outside of regular office hours via company cell phone, when required
- Other administrative duties, as required
- Qualifications
- 3-5 years’ experience working on commercial roofs is an asset
- Education in a civil engineering / building science program or a related educational field
- Familiarity with commercial roofing methods (flat and sloped) and building codes
- Proficiency in MS office package, including MS Project
- Highly motivated with strong organizational, analytical, problem solving and decision-making abilities
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a team environment
- Ability to read plans and specifications
