**Key Responsibilities**:
SGCC is currently looking for a **Line Cook (1st Cook / Chef de partie) **to undertake the following key responsibilities:
- Responsible for the daily preparation of food items in all areas of the kitchen.
- Responsible for prepping and cooking for banquet & catering, breakfast, lunch, and dinner items for members, as well as proper cleaning and organization of work areas.
**Availability**: The kitchen is open from 7am to 12am (may end between 11 pm-12 am), 7 days per week.
**Work Conditions**:
- Stand for extended periods and transport up to 50 pounds on occasion, and up to 35 pounds regularly.
- Occasional environmental exposures to cold, heat, and water.
- Will be constantly exposed to high temperatures in the kitchen environment.
- Manual dexterity is required to use knives and kitchen appliances.
- Extended hours as required.
**Qualifications**:
- Cooking: 2-3 years of experience (preferred)
- Culinary degree or working on a culinary degree (preferred)
- License/Certification: Food Safe, Food Handler (having it or working towards it is required)
- Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
- Strong customer service, organizational, communication, and time management skills
- Must be amenable to working any shift, evenings, weekends, holidays
- Must have a reliable vehicle/transportation
