**Civil Supervisor**

**DF Barnes Services** is currently seeking an experienced **Civil Supervisor** to join our highly skilled team in Labrador.

**Main Duties**:

- Supervising Construction Activities: Overseeing and managing civil construction activities on-site to ensure they are carried out according to plans, specifications, and quality standards.
- Managing Crew: Directing and coordinating the work of construction crews, subcontractors, and other personnel involved in the project.
- Scheduling and Planning: Ensuring that tasks are completed on time and within budget.
- Quality Control: Monitoring the quality of workmanship and materials to ensure compliance with project specifications and regulations.
- Safety Compliance: Enforcing safety regulations and protocols to maintain a safe working environment for all workers on-site.
- Material Management: Procuring materials, equipment, and tools needed for construction activities and ensuring they are used efficiently.
- Problem Solving: Identifying and resolving any issues or obstacles that arise during construction, such as design conflicts, material shortages, or unexpected site conditions.
- Communication: Serving as a liaison between project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
- Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of construction activities, including daily reports, progress updates, and as-built drawings.
- Cost Control: Monitoring expenses and controlling costs to ensure that the project stays within the budget.
- Training and Development: Providing guidance and training to construction crew members to enhance their skills and improve overall performance.
- Site Inspection: Conducting regular inspections to verify that work is being performed correctly and in accordance with project specifications and safety standards.
- Environmental Compliance: Implementing measures to minimize environmental impact and ensure compliance with environmental regulations and permits.

**Experience and Education**:

- Five plus years of experience in a Civil Supervision role
- Supervisor experience on foundations and concrete work
- Experience on Hydro related work sites
- Experience with concrete sill repairs
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Additional education and training would be an asset
