Job Summary:
**Responsibilities**:

- Operate a forklift to move materials throughout the yard
- Position **requires forklift driver to always work outside in the yard**:

- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers
- Perform order fulfillment tasks accurately and efficiently
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory movements
- Conduct basic math calculations for inventory counts
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
- Able to use measuring tape and read measurements accurately up to 16th of an inch.
- Must be able to work independently
- Must be able to **maneuver large bundles of steel** and other materials with forklift in tight spaces
- **Must have experience moving very large steel bundles**:

- Position requires sitting, standing, walking and bending indoors and outdoors
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs if/when needed (overhead hoists available for heavy lifts and forklift places steel bundles on saw intake conveyor rollers)

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator or similar role
- Proficiency in operating a forklift, including reach trucks
- Familiarity with AS400 or similar warehouse management systems
- Strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of e-commerce operations is a plus Excellent organizational and time management skills

**Job Description**:

- Receive incoming shipments in a timely fashion and properly label and organize material
- Able to count number of pieces for orders and document on order sheets
- Inspect shipments and final product for quality and counts
- Operate forklift to unload and load trucks of raw steel and other materials
- Operate forklift to transport material to proper locations in yard and shop
- Report to work in metal fab shop environment on time and as scheduled
- Other duties as required

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
