As a **Full-Time or Part-Time Adult, Youth, Child Worker **at our **Therapeutic Homes in Abbotsford**, **you will have the opportunity to be a part of a team that provides support, care, and mentorship to children and youth in a therapeutic home setting. There are multiple 40 hour, 32 hour or 24 hour per week opportunities available. Shifts run 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm and 11pm-7am with you schedule agreed upon between you and the program supervisor.

**Qualifications**:

- Demonstrated experience working with youth with ASD and behavioural challenges
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication
- Comfortable assisting with personal care to clients
- Knowledge of supportive strategies, needs, and risk assessment
- Knowledge of therapeutic approaches
- Effective de-escalation and crisis management skills
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License or Equivalent
- Current Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certification (training will be provided to those who do not have this yet)
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination (or approved exemption or accommodation from the Provincial Health Authority or Hollyburn)

**A sample of what you’ll be doing**:

- Maintaining a safe and healthy environment in the home
- Building positive working relationships with the client, family, community members, and other professionals involved in the care team
- Encouraging and modeling acceptable social standards and setting appropriate boundaries
- Engaging in frequent interaction with clients, using appropriate means of communication
- Facilitating recreational and/or educational activities
- Attending school meetings and case conferences when required
- Performing household maintenance duties, preparing meals, administering medication, and assisting clients with personal care as needed
- Collaborating with the clinical team and providing input into assessments and care plans

**Salary**: $24.00-$26.00/hour plus benefits
