Burlington, Canada SMC Automation & Tooling Ltd. Full time

SMC Automation & Tooling Ltd. is a manufacturer of industrial controls and automation equipment. We are seeking a CNC Operator for our Burlington, ON facility.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform CNC machine shop operations including programming, setting up, running, and troubleshooting CNC machines.
- Prepare and set up workpieces on workstations for machining, fixtures, and other work related tasks.
- Inspect machine workstations for conformance to specifications and determine the cause of malfunction.
- Check workpieces for accuracy using the inspection tools and gauges provided by SMC Automation & Tooling Ltd..
- Verify that the workpiece meets all tolerances specified on the job ticket.
- Adjust machine settings to achieve optimum operation in order to achieve production goals.
- Troubleshoot machine malfunctions and resolve issues quickly to increase production efficiency.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager to improve the productivity of the department.

**Education & Experience**:

- High School Diploma or GED preferred or equivalent experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Must be proficient in reading, speaking, and writing English; may require additional English proficiency training as required by company.
- Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks requiring frequent lifting of heavy objects up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time, sit, stand, walk, bend, reach overhead, climb ladders, push pull pull objects over their heads as well as use saws, grinders etc.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $25.00-$28.00 per hour
