**Job Overview**

**Duties**
- Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and menu specifications.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and guidelines.
- Assist in the planning and execution of meal preparation, including portion control and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper storage of food items.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management.
- Participate in training new kitchen staff on food handling and preparation techniques.
- Help maintain equipment cleanliness and report any maintenance issues as needed.

**Skills**
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations within the food industry.
- Experience in food handling, meal preparation, and cooking techniques in a restaurant or similar environment.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork within the kitchen staff.
- A passion for cooking with creativity in meal presentation and flavor combinations.
- Ability to follow recipes accurately while also being adaptable to changes as needed.
- Must know how to work a grill as well as traditional pan cooking.
