**JOB RESPONSIBILITES**:

- Tool and Die Apprentice will be responsible for supporting Tool and Die makers in all tasks of tool making and maintenance while working towards their certification
- Be responsible for all parameters of assigned tasks
- Ensure that the customer’s requirements, which include project timing, part quality and delivery are met
- Maintain accurate work reports
- Perform all other duties as determined by the tool room manager or his designate
- Ensure adequate communication with other team members
- Ensure the shop environment is kept safe, clean and organized; observe all company safety rules, policies and procedures
- Successfully obtain certification as a Tool and Die Maker

**EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Grade 12 education, or equivalent
- Registered as a Tool and Die Apprentice 3rd or 4th year
- Must be willing to commit to 4 year apprenticeship to receive your Certificate of Qualification
- Excellent attendance record
- Receive in-house training to obtain certifications

**QUALITY & CUSTOMER SATISFACTION**:

- Responsible to adhere to all IATF 16946 / Quality policies and procedures
- Understand that Quality is EVERYONES responsibility
- Prevent quality issues from happening either by not starting the process or by stopping it before a nonconformity has occurred.
- Escalate Quality Issues immediately to my Supervisor or Manager - STOP, CONTAIN & REPORT
- Attend all Quality training deemed required by Sodecia

**SAFETY AND HOUSEKEEPING**:

- Responsible to adhere to all Health and Safety programs in accordance with the OHSA.
- Follow and ensure the Company’s procedures regarding safety rules and regulations are followed throughout the plant.
- Ensure that you work and operate equipment according to the safety rules and regulations.
- Ensure that your Department is clean, tidy, organized and a safe workplace at all times.
- Responsible to adhere to all Environmental Program ISO 14001 elements and attend training for same. Act in accordance to all Environmental policies, procedures and regulations.e
- Must be able to work all shifts
