Sobotec is currently looking for a **Buyer **- a positive, energetic person who is motivated and wants to work in a team environment. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity that offers a competitive wage, health, dental & vision benefits.
**Responsibilities**
- Research, select and purchase materials relevant to the manufacturing industry.
- Ensure optimum quality, pricing and delivery of materials and services.
- Process requisitions and update management on status of orders.
- Maintain adequate inventory levels of regular stock items.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Production, Inventory and Maintenance teams.
- Resolve vendor product quality issues.
- Review packing lists to confirm accuracy against purchase orders, receive material to inventory and manage paperwork for invoice approval procedure.
- Various administrative duties and additional responsibilities to meet business needs.
**Requirements/Qualifications**
- University Degree or College Diploma is preferred.
- 2+ years of relevant work experience is an asset.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work while meeting tight deadlines.
- Confidence in decision making and strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in computer skills - Excel, Word and custom company software.
