**EXTERNAL TEMPORARY EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANT POSITION**

An Educational Assistant is responsible to the school Principal to provide medical, physical and safety/supervision support to students with intensive special education needs in elementary and secondary schools.

**Eligibility**:
To be eligible, applicants must hold a secondary school diploma plus completion of a post-secondary education program in one of the following: Education Support Worker, Educational Assistant Certificate, Early Childhood Educator, Social Service Worker, Developmental Services Worker, Child and Youth Worker, Educational Assistant Apprenticeship Program or equivalent education and/or experience.

As per Article 16.08, The Board may require an Educational Assistant to have additional qualifications for positions which require specific medical, physical or communication skills.

Scheduling is Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:45 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
- Commencing as soon as possible and ending June 29, 2023 or earlier if circumstances change or incumbent returns._
