**The bigger picture**

We’re looking for an individual with inquisitive nature, strong analytical abilities, and a growth-oriented mindset to come on board as our Project Portfolio Manager at our Head office in Regina. The Project Portfolio Manager will report to the VP, Strategy and be responsible for establishing and implementing a project portfolio management process. This process will prioritize and monitor programs and projects to align with Conexus’ strategy, ensuring efficient and effective execution within our risk appetite and available resources.

As the Project Portfolio Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the entire project portfolio of our organization. You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including executives, project managers, and department leads, to streamline project management processes, enhance project prioritization, and ensure Conexus is achieving its desired strategic outcomes.

**How you’ll be spending your time**
- **Portfolio Planning and Strategy**:

- Creating an enterprise project portfolio management practice enabling executive management to align strategy with prioritized projects, maximize ROI, and track progress effectively.
- **Portfolio Management**:

- Facilitating governance processes and approvals for an agile and adaptable enterprise project portfolio.
- Ensuring projects are well-defined with measurable outcomes and escalating concerns to sponsors and the Strategy and Governance Office.
- Leading the implementation of project portfolio management best practices, including tools, mentoring, reporting, and process standardization.
- Leading the annual project prioritization process to update the project portfolio, aligning with the budget, and ensuring executive management follows best practices in project portfolio management.
- **Performance Monitoring and Reporting**:

- Providing executive management with recommendations for enhancing project portfolio performance, project selection, prioritization, and resource allocation through the Strategy and Governance office.
- Evaluating and reporting on the enterprise project portfolio's health, milestones, and risks regularly to support Conexus' strategic plan.
- Acting as a liaison between executive management and internal stakeholders to facilitate project approvals, updates, prioritization, and coordination of strategic initiatives.
- Providing executive management with up-to-date and relevant information for overseeing the enterprise project portfolio, including identifying key performance indicators to measure strategic initiative execution.
- Conducting meetings with key project resources to monitor progress, address resource allocation concerns, and identify risks to Conexus’ strategic execution in the project portfolio.
- Providing leadership and guidance to project leads, teams, and senior leaders on the project portfolio to enhance project success, including necessary influence when required.
- **Communication and Change Management**:

- Leading communication of the project portfolio to the organization and managing the creation and maintenance of the reporting intranet site to support the balanced scorecard.
- Championing change management practices to ensure effective communication occurs across key stakeholder groups.
