Overlooking Harrison Lake, the Harrison Hot Springs Resort offers the following amenities: five mineral hot springs pools, the Healing Springs Spa, three restaurants and a coffee bar, extensive banquet and catering options, Resort Golf Course and Resort Marina.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Perform carpentry work, such as installing trim molding, building shelves, picture frame, and cabinets, etc.
- Installation of products such as drywall, paneling, mudding, and floating walls and ceilings.
- Stains, varnishes, lacquers, and paints furniture, walls, ceilings, and other items as needed
- Caulking and painting in all areas of the resort as required.
- Repairing and replacing wall paper as required.
- Repairing or replacing carpets when required.
- Tile replacement and grouting.
- Complete touch up and repair of all areas of the resort as required.
- Safe operation of hand and power tools and the uses appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for each task.
- Perform all assigned duties in a timely fashion.
- Resources materials when required.
- Maintain the carpentry shop in a clean and organized fashion.
- Work along side other staff members throughout the resort to achieve common goals.
- Some stress resulting from daily guest interactions (internal and external), budgetary, and time constraints.
- Perform other job related duties as assigned.

**EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED**:

- A minimum of two years apprenticeship from a recognized trade school or institution.
- A combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Skilled in the operation of hand and power carpentry tools.
- Experience in cabinet making, with European hinge hardware, plastic laminates, hardwood and solid surface countertops, etc.
- Experience in glazing and repair of window screens, patio door rollers and hardware.
- Experience in carpentry including hanging doors, installing baseboards, crown moldings and window casings.
- Experience in tile setting, grouting and sealing.
- Experience with stucco and exterior siding repairs.
- Experience in texturing of ceilings, repair of damaged texture and installation of t-bar ceilings.
- Familiarization with security lock installations of various types.
- Installation and repair of window covering tracks and hardware.
- Installation of fixtures, including washroom/changing room partitions, shelving units, modular desks, keyboard trays, towel racks, wall-mounted headboards and artwork with security hardware.
- Installation of commercial wall vinyl and invisibly patching damaged areas.
- Experience with commercial spray booth procedures for staining, sealing and lacquering furniture.
- Roofing and gutter repairs and installation.
- Experience with custom paint finishes and techniques.
- Painting of interior and exterior walls, trims, and surfaces.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, documents, manuals, etc.
- Ability to prioritize assignments with mínimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Have a positive attitude and be a strong team player.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and oral.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Second language is an asset.
- Flexible to as changing schedule.

**Salary**: From $34.53 per hour
