**Position Overview**:
National Zakat Foundation Canada is seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Development Officer (CDO) to join our leadership team. The CDO will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of development, including marketing, fundraising, donor care, strategic development, and business development. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record of driving growth and sustainability in a non-profit environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to increase awareness of NZF Canada's mission and programs.
- Ensure a cohesive and compelling brand presence across all marketing channels and materials.
- Implement user journey/experience strategies to enhance engagement and satisfaction among donors, volunteers, and supporters.
- Lead PR efforts to enhance NZF Canada's visibility, managing media relationships and ensuring positive coverage.
- Craft and disseminate press releases, articles, and other PR materials to highlight NZF Canada's achievements and impact.
- Utilize donor CRM solutions to track and analyze donor interactions for effective communication and relationship building.
- Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies related to donor CRM solutions.
- Drive digital transformation initiatives to enhance the efficiency of development operations.
- Implement change management strategies for smooth transitions during organizational growth.
- Collaborate with the product development team for innovative fundraising campaigns aligning with NZF Canada's mission.
- Lead fundraising efforts by identifying new funding sources and securing financial support for organizational initiatives.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of fundraising initiatives, making recommendations for improvement as needed.
- Lead the strategic development of NZF Canada by identifying opportunities for growth and expansion of programs and services.
- Oversee business development initiatives, including partnership development, corporate sponsorships, and strategic alliances.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the development team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with the executive team to develop and implement organizational goals, policies, and procedures.
- Develop and manage the annual development budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources for fundraising, marketing, and strategic development initiatives.
- Representation and Reporting:

- Represent NZF Canada at external events, conferences, and meetings to promote the organization and build relationships with key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the Board of Directors, providing regular updates on development activities and leveraging their networks to support NZF Canada's mission.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, non-profit management, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in development, fundraising, marketing, or related field, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record of success in developing and implementing comprehensive marketing and fundraising strategies.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to identify opportunities for growth and development.
- Knowledge of the non-profit sector and a passion for NZF Canada's mission and values.
