**Description & Purpose**.

The Director of Maintenance (DOM) is the Person Responsible for Maintenance (PRM) to ensure respective work duties as outlined in the company Maintenance Policy Manual (MPM) are adhered to and accomplished in accordance with direction from the Accountable Executive.

Responsible for the overall vision and strategy of the Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO), as DOM you will establish procedures, standards, and processes for all maintenance and repair activities. You will set goals and objectives for the organization as well as individual employees.

**Reporting Relationship.**

The Director of Maintenance reports to the Executive Vice-President / Accountable Executive and is responsible for the maintenance program carried out per Canadian Aviation Regulation (CARs) 573 and associated company MPM and applicable regulatory / statutory requirements.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Execution of all contracts with adherence to schedule, quality, specification, and expected profitability targets.
- Shall act as the signatory for the AMO.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and objectives.
- Coordination of recruitment, grading and training for production personnel.
- Ensure that common policies and standards are applied in effecting quality, personnel and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), and environmental requirements.
- Ensure that all repairs to components are performed in accordance with applicable maintenance manuals, Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARS) and other approved data.
- Supervise and direct activities of assigned personnel.
- Ensure that all equipment is properly used and maintained.
- Review all documents to ensure proper completion.
- Be thoroughly familiar with the Maintenance Policy and Procedures Manual and Company manuals.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

**Key Technical Skills and Knowledge.**
- Minimum 6 years in aircraft maintenance tasks and/or supervision of maintenance activities.
- Possess a valid structures-endorsed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) license.
- Familiarity and use of Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs)
- Completion of a recognized aircraft maintenance program.
