**Job Description Summary**: GE Healthcare Canada has a unique 2-year Service Apprenticeship Program (CSAP) for College & University graduates who wish to pursue careers in health care services.

We are seeking an IT Service Apprentice for our Service Apprentice Program focused on:

- Set up and maintenance of remote connectivity for GE Diagnostic Imaging and Patient Care Solutions devices at customer sites.
- Provides technical troubleshooting support to both internal and external customers. This can include: Configuring and maintaining GE routers; configuring and troubleshooting IPsec, IKE/ISAKMP VPN tunnels; TLS/SSL connection troubleshooting; configuring different VPN appliances, routers and firewall platforms.

This position will be based out of the National Service Centre in Mississauga, ON.

Our program is aimed at providing the technical and soft skills training required to become a successful field service representative in these areas or "modalities." The program includes a variety of soft skills training where we have consultants deliver training in areas such as Communication Skills, Negotiation skills, etc., as well as modality-specific Technical Training at our Healthcare Institute in the USA. (Apprentices average 5-10 weeks over 18 months in the USA on training). The people in our program are field based and assigned a mentor where they also receive on-the job training as well as written assignments, book reports, etc..

**Essential Responsibilities**:

- Provide remote connectivity to GE imaging systems using VPN and other methods
- Perform system level analysis to identify root cause and take appropriate actions for connectivity
- Continuously maintain knowledge of all technical components in the current marketplace, GEHC remote connectivity platforms, core use cases, and modality specific configuration procedures including software firewall and connectivity agent as applicable
- Ability to work on multiple simultaneous tasks and effectively prioritize to meet targets
- Small to large scale VPN maintenance including migrations and consolidations in partnership with internal/external customers
- Maintain daily communications with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up, leading to customer satisfaction.
- Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines.
- Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required.

**Required Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree or Associates degree in Computer Systems Technology or equivalent.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada is required.
- Ability to travel to the US for technical & soft skills training at our Healthcare Institute

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written/communications skills
- CCNA, CCNP or CCIE Certification
- Experience with Microsoft Suite
- Effective time management and organizational skills and able to balance multiple priorities.
- Bilingual English & French
