Psw/ Activities Coordinator

Gloucester, Canada Elmsmere Villa Retirement Residence Full time

Looking to hire a full-time Personal support worker/ activities coordinator for a small retirement home. Must be friendly, outgoing, reliable, and dedicated. Predominately day shifts with some evening and weekend availability for infrequent special occasions.

Creating, planning, and printing the monthly activities calendar for our residents as well as overseeing those activities including a daily seated fitness class and BINGO. Engaging the residents with interesting and fun activities and tracking resident involvement at each activity. Booking entertainers, decorating for holidays and special events, etc.,

**Duties include but not limited to**:

- Sorting and delivering mail.
- Printing forms and paperwork and keeping inventory of supplies.
- Escorting residents to and from the dining room for meals and assisting with the serving of meals.
- Assisting staff PSWs and the nursing department with answering the telephone and call bells when the social calendar permits.
- Assisting management with various tasks, as required.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $18.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Gloucester, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
