**Our facility located at **_379 Orenda Rd, Brampton ON L6T 1G6_** is now hiring for Sanitation Technicians in the Sanitation department.**

**Positions: Sanitation Technician - Afternoon Shift (2), Night shift (2)**

**Pay Rate: $ 20.50 / hour to start**

**Shift Premiums: extra $ 0.75 / hour (between 6pm-12am) and $ 1.00 / hour (between 12am-6am).**

**SHIFTS AVILABLE**:
**Afternoon Shift (2pm - 1030pm)**

**Night shift (10pm-6:30am)**

**Shift times can change as needed**

**Applicant must have a flexible schedule and must be available to work Saturday and Sunday**

**Please note - Shifts are typically 8.5 hours, but can be 10-12 hour shifts based on need.**

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Maintain the cleanliness of the facility through dry and wet cleaning Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP) and janitorial tasks
- Respond to any equipment breakdowns by providing sanitation support through the cleaning of major spills, ingredient(s), dry product, and/or equipment itself as needed
- Use cleaning equipment (scrapers, brushes, pads, vacuums, scrub machine, compressed air, power washers) to clean production floors, ceilings, walls of the bakery (warehouse, freezer, refrigerators, packing and production) - must be comfortable using a ladder, working at heights, handling chemicals and adhering to SSOPs
- Be responsible for locking out, dismantling, cleaning and sanitizing of production machines as required in accordance with master sanitation schedule and standard operating procedures
- Collect all garbage, waste and recyclable materials and dispose of them;
- must be able to stand for up to 8 hours at a time
- Perform specialized cleaning procedures in accordance with master sanitation schedule
- Comply with all applicable legislative and Wonderbrands food safety, health and safety, GMP’s and environmental policies and procedures.
- Any other duties as assigned by direct supervisor/manager

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Must be flexible to work afternoon/night shift including Saturday and Sunday and overtime as required.
- Ideally, 1 year or more of Sanitation experience in a food manufacturing environment
- Comfortable working with sanitizing agents and chemicals
- Heavy lifting. (Up to 50 pounds)
- Quick learner and able to adapt to new skills and methods quickly and easily.
- Forward thinking and ability to problem solve with strong attention to detail
- Good communication skills, interpersonal skills and must be able to work in a team environment.
- Ability to follow directions from Supervisory Staff.
- Work well under pressure and in a fast paced environment.
- Want to work in a unionized environment.
- **Ability to perform heavy lifting/pushing/pulling, and repetitive movements.
