The Saskatchewan Prevention Institute is seeking a full-time (1.0 FTE) Graphic Design and Communications Coordinator to begin immediately.

The Saskatchewan Prevention Institute is a provincial non-profit organization that works to reduce the occurrence of disabling conditions in children. Our goal is healthy children. The Prevention Institute strives for excellence in primary prevention and knowledge translation and exchange to reflect current best evidence and meet identified needs. The Prevention Institute serves all areas of the province.

**Nature and Scope**

The Graphic Design and Communications Coordinator reports to the Executive Director and is responsible for coordinating and implementing the Prevention Institute’s communications’ activities, promoting the Prevention Institute, and providing graphic design and communications support for the Institute’s programming and core activities.

The Saskatchewan Prevention Institute focuses on primary prevention that aims to prevent disabling conditions from occurring by eliminating or modifying risk factors that can occur before or during pregnancy or after birth. The Prevention Institute is committed to working collaboratively to promote primary prevention throughout the province by providing education and training on all its areas of focus. The Prevention Institute’s main office is in Saskatoon and serves all areas of the province. The Graphic Design and Communications Coordinator represents the Institute in communication with the media, public, stakeholders, and staff and is required to demonstrate the values of the organization and be a leader in effective communication and teamwork.

The Graphic Design and Communications Coordinator will work collaboratively as a team member in meeting the mandate and goals of the Prevention Institute. The Coordinator works closely with Program and Project Coordinators, Program Managers, the Web Development Coordinator, Administration Staff, and the Executive Director.

The position is located in an office environment in Saskatoon, SK.

**Specific Accountabilities**

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Graphic Design and Communications Coordinator is specifically accountable for:

**Required Qualifications and Experience**
- A degree in Communications, Journalism, or other related degree.
- Knowledge and experience in the communications field, including effective media campaigns, and an understanding of, and practice in, the use of social media and technology-based tools.
- Knowledge of file setup for printing resources, marketing materials and promotional items.
- A strong understanding of In Design, Creative Cloud, Meta Ads, Canva and Mailchimp.
- Experience in graphic design.

The Saskatchewan Prevention Institute requires the submission of a satisfactory criminal record check prior to employment.

**Salary Range**

The salary range for this position is $48,750.00 to $60,000.00, with the starting salary dependent on experience and qualifications.
