The Finishing Superintendent's responsibility is to supervise the finishing stages of a multi-family construction project in Vancouver. This includes monitoring, controlling, and motivating all sub-contractors to deliver a building that meets Onni's highest quality standards. Assist in delivering a project which is on time and on budget and to prioritize and always enforce Onni’s health and safety standards. The role needs to be able to identify problems and proactively solve issues.

We are looking for an ambitious, organized, individual with an above standard high attention to detail to see perfectly executed finishes.

**Duties**:
Scheduling:

- Coordinate with trade contractors and ensure they progress according to the project schedule
- Create, track and monitor look-ahead schedules

Budget and Cost tracking:

- Assisting project manager with overall budget review and cost tracking
- Help issue site documentation and review of any site changes and cost implications

Management and Leadership:

- Familiarize yourself with the blueprints in order to foresee problems and minimize the schedule & financial impacts
- Establish, maintain, and control quality control standards on site
- Identify and escalate potential issues to the Construction Manager in a timely manner
- Recommend corrective actions when necessary to maintain project schedule and quality
- Ensure all staff and contractors maintain a safe working environment according to company policies
- Coordinate all activity between trades and suppliers
- Ensure that all changes are properly documented and implemented
- Ensure the timely delivery of reports to Head Office
- Provide schedule updates to the Construction Manager on a regular basis
- Ensure inspections are completed throughout all construction phases, to ensure buildings meet clients’ specifications and the BC Building Code
- Maintain a daily construction journal
- Attend pre-delivery inspections (PDI’s) with purchasers, and ensure any deficiencies identified are corrected in a timely manner
- Document the construction process and keep all parties informed on important issues
- Create deficiency lists and follow up with trades to ensure a high quality is adhered to

**Summary of Qualifications & Requirements**:

- Minimum 3 years of residential construction experience
- Strong sequencing experience
- Excellent knowledge of BC Building Code and high attention to detail
- Proven performance in leadership and managing both people and construction sites
- Demonstrated effective communication and team building skills
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve, juggle numerous and diverse activities, organizing and prioritizing appropriately to meet demands and expectations
- Be a motivated self-starter who thrives in a fast pace team environment and have a desire to grow with the Company
