Overview: As the Compliance and Operations Coordinator at our private career college in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all operational activities align with regulatory standards and institutional policies. You will be responsible for overseeing compliance efforts, coordinating operational functions, and implementing best practices to maintain efficiency and adherence to guidelines.

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. Compliance Oversight:

- Monitor regulatory requirements at the federal, provincial, and local levels about educational institutions.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of compliance standards relevant to the college's operations.
- Implement strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory mandates and accreditation standards.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to compliance protocols.

2. Operational Coordination:

- Collaborate with various departments to streamline operational processes and workflows.
- Serve as a central point of contact for operational inquiries and issues, providing timely resolution and support.
- Coordinate with scheduling and planning.
- Monitor inventory levels and procurement needs to support smooth operations.
- Develop and maintain operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

3. Documentation and Reporting:

- Maintain accurate records of compliance activities, including documentation of policies, procedures, and training materials.
- Prepare reports and presentations summarizing compliance efforts, operational performance, and areas of improvement.
- Assist in the preparation of regulatory filings, certifications, and audits as required by governing bodies and accrediting agencies.

4. Training and Education:

- Develop and deliver training programs to educate staff on compliance requirements and operational protocols.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to employees regarding compliance-related inquiries and concerns.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes to inform training initiatives and organizational practices.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in compliance, operations, or a similar role, preferably within the education industry.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks relevant to educational institutions in Canada.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in documentation and reporting.
