To support the on-going growth of our business, we are currently seeking a highly motivated, energetic, and hands on **Supervisor. **Reporting to the Production Manager, you will use your leadership expertise in this boots-on position, by developing the day shift production team at AERP.
- **Key Tasks and Responsibilities**_
- Supervise assigned processing staff for Safe operation of equipment, Quality of materials and Integrity of data
- Engage as the leader to ensure alignment of staff and policy COR compliance and Fire Code requirements.
- Communicate with supporting departments and Leadership team and material suppliers daily to review and coordinate:
Safety - Quality - Labour Utilization - Data Integrity - Equipment readiness
- Document, Lead and audit the start up and shut down of all processing equipment
- Monitor, mentor and develop staff in safe and efficient work practices
- Train, Cross Train and validate proficiency for safe and effective use of all equipment
- Coordinate break coverage and schedules to ensure priority flow through the plant
- Assist in liaising with the maintenance team to prioritize equipment service and repair
- Thoroughly complete and audit teams use of Maintenance Reports
- Initiate, encourage and participate in continuous improvement activities to improve safety, performance and drive annual objectives
- Update ERP system, post metrics and investigate and trouble shoot variance
- Perform inventory cycle counting requirements to align with ERP accuracy
- Immediately report any concerns or issues directly to the Manager
- Participate in any safety/incident investigations
- Adhere to all company policies, processes, and procedures
- Lead, motivate, develop and mentor assigned staff and provide feedback and disciplinary actions as required to sustain a positive working environment
- Coordinate and allocate labor resources as may be required by other areas
- Facilitate operator training and cross training within your Process
- Conduct or delegate training for the roles within your Process
- Cross Train and Rotate roles to ensure depth and capability of staffing
- Always provide guidance and direction to staffing assigned to your Process, offering encouragement and support
- Monitor staffing performance for safety and quality raising concerns and opportunities to the Supervisor
- Encourage and build mutual trust, respect, and coordination among team members
- **Education/Experience**_
- Post Secondary diploma in relating industry is preferred but not required
- Leadership training would be a valued asset
- 3 years prior experience in a similar role
- Experience creating and auditing SOP's for process improvement and standardization
