We are currently looking to hire our next great team members for the position of shop and field technicians located in our new Dartmouth Nova Scotia location

**Job description**:
Our shop and field service technicians’ position is to utilize there mechanic expertise to support the needs of the branch and in the field in a safe and professional manner. Our team of professional’s will work to keep all company owned and customers equipment in peak running condition through a preventative maintenance and detailed repair schedule.

**Responsibilities**:

- Follow consistent and regular OEM schedule of repairs to various types of heavy equipment, construction equipment at various job sites and branch level.
- Repair equipment to the OEM regulated specifications,
- Conduct major repairs such as engine rebuilding, electrical, transmission, differentials and hydraulic repairs.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot, all fuel type systems, electrical and hydraulic systems.
- Conduct all PM service requirements.
- Recondition and replace assorted parts on heavy equipment.
- Must be able to operate and test equipment such as telehandlers, straight mast forklifts, booms and scissor lift types of equipment.
- Diagnoses problem areas for potential wear and tear on equipment.
- Maintain work area in a organized and clean manner at all times.
- Follow all company and site safety procedures while in the branch and on customers sites.
- Build positive relationships with customers and fellow employees.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

**Skills required**
- Ability to read and understand schematics of equipment for proper repairs, ability to read and understand warning labels on various types of equipment.
- Ability to lift 50lbs.
- First in class customer service skill.
- Understand the importance of time management skills.
- Able to work independently or in a team setting.
- Must posses solid written and verbal communication skills and able to perform basic computer skills required for the position.

**Conditions of employment.**
- Journeyman red seal ticket would be an asset.
- Valid drivers license and clean drivers record for field position.
