Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Service Technician to join our team at Coast Tire & Auto Service Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on commercial transport trucks, as well as providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems
  • Confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit
  • Discuss work with supervisor
  • Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
  • Inspect mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
  • Review work orders
  • Test automotive systems and components
  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems
  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems
  • Repair or replace mechanical units or components
  • Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements
  • Coach and instruct apprentices
  • Provide customer service
Requirements
  • Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification
  • Automotive Service Technician (Steering, Suspension and Brakes) Trade Certification
  • Automotive Service Technician Red Seal Certificate
  • Valid driver's licence
