We are seeking someone who has experiences in health, safety training and driver coaching. Skills that are an asset include being safety-conscious, an effective communicator, stronger organizational, analytical, and great customer service background. You know the city of Edmonton and surrounding area’s well; and you are an expert with current traffic rules and regulations.

Reporting to the Health & Safety/Claims Manager, the Road Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all Cliffs, J&P Auto and Prestige (Limo, DATS, & CHOICE), drivers under his/her scope of work adhere to safe work practices, traffic rules, regulations, and company policies while providing safe and timely transportation services to our passengers.

**Responsibilities**:
Supervise and monitor the activities of Cliffs, J&P Auto & Prestige employees and drivers to ensure that they comply with traffic rules and regulations, company policies, and customer service standards.

Conduct regular inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition and are properly maintained.

Assist in conducting driver training programs to ensure drivers are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to provide excellent customer service.

Investigate accidents involving drivers and prepare reports on findings and recommendations for corrective action.

Ensure that all transportation-related documentation, such as driver logs, inspection reports, and maintenance records, are accurate and up to date.

Under direction of Driver Relations Department - communicate with drivers and customers, and other departments to ensure that transportation services are well-coordinated and that any issues are resolved promptly.

Monitor employee and driver performance. Provide feedback and coaching as needed to ensure that employees and drivers meet safety, performance, and customer service standards.

**Required Skills and Competencies**:
A team player who is focused on providing exceptional service and a customer focused attitude with the ability to take direction, work independently and work well with others.

Must be able to prioritize and multi-task including being able to remain flexible in continually changing and fast paced situations.

Defensive driver training instructor experience an asset.

Ability to work with time constraints in a complex environment.

Geographical knowledge of the city and surrounding areas. Internal

Possess advanced problem-solving skills with the ability to proactively manage issues

**Qualifications**:
High School Diploma or equivalent, additional certification in health and safety, defensive driver training transportation management or in a related field is a great advantage

Proven experience as a driver supervisor and coaching drivers or related role in the transportation industry

Must have a clean 5-Year driver abstract

Must possess a valid driver’s license

Knowledge of traffic rules and regulations, safety standards, and customer service practices

Ability to manage and motivate drivers to provide excellent customer service.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office and transportation management software

**Working Conditions/Hours**:
Work in an office environment, develop/implement health and safety systems, and spend a significant amount of time in the field monitoring coaching and inspecting vehicles and drivers. This role may require working flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
