**Why You?**
We are looking for a dynamic and collaborative leader to join the Town and provide superior leadership to our facilities team. You will oversee the team in realization of our Community Strategic Plan: Innovative Innisfil 2030, being true to the values: “Community First. Future Next. Balance Always”. Working in a cross-functional and forward-thinking environment, you will be responsible for:
- Managing and directing building maintenance, including preventative and corrective maintenance plans, design development, space planning, life safety systems, and ensuring the efficient operation of all Town-owned buildings and associated assets.
- Overseeing the strategic planning of Town facilities infrastructure and implementing actions to achieve business objectives including leading renewals of the Facilities Master Plan and implementation of plan recommendations.
- Ensuring all building systems, equipment, structures, and grounds are maintained to maximize life expectancy and efficiency while ensuring occupant comfort and safety; working to maximize environmental sustainability of all systems.
- Job Requirements- A post-secondary degree or diploma in at least one of the following areas, or suitable equivalent: civil, electrical, or mechanical engineering, construction science and management, building construction technology, Building Systems Engineering Technology, or Facilities Management.
- One or more of the following certifications or designations would be considered an asset: Certification in Project Management and Project Management Professional (PMP), Trade certifications, Certified Facility Manager (CFM), Facility Management Professional (FMP).
- A minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of municipal Operations experience (Facilities Management, Building, Infrastructure)
- Thorough working knowledge of Engineered Building System and Maintenance Management Systems (MMS).
- Strong working knowledge of building science, equipment and construction techniques.
- A valid Class “G” driver’s license in good standing is required as is a reliable vehicle to use on corporate business.
- Availability to attend evening and/or weekend meetings or other events; and to respond to major emergencies as required.
