**What is the opportunity?**

Based in Toronto and reporting to the Project Executive, as an experienced Intermediate Construction Planner, you will play a lead role in the delivery of large transportation projects in Ontario through a variety of procurement models, for owners such as Metrolinx, Toronto Transit Commission, and the Ministry of Transportation Ontario.

**What will you do?**
- Lead the overall construction planning for major transportation projects.
- Lead the planning and optimization of the construction schedule. Ensure proper timing, logic, durations, and compatibility of master and other schedules.
- Lead the construction logistics planning, including traffic staging, construction sequence, access, and laydown.
- Work and coordinate with the multidisciplinary design team to review and verify that proposed designs are constructible.
- Knowledge of various construction methodologies, including but not limited to cut-and-cover construction, top-down construction, SEM construction and TBM tunnel construction.
- Review and provide inputs into construction cost estimation to confirm quantities, identify scope gaps and opportunities for optimization.
- Identify project risks and propose remedial solutions.
- Working experience in project controls including cost control, performance measurement, change management, delay analysis and quantity surveying.
- Ability to grow and maintain positive relationships with clients, external stakeholders, contractors, and other consultants. Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet the time demands of unpredictable activities, capable of handling pressure and challenges.
- Ability to lead and manage a team of constructability planners to deliver project scope within budget, in adherence with quality standards, and on schedul5

**Requirements**:
**What do you need to succeed?**
- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline, preferably Civil Engineering
- Licensed professional engineer in the Province of Ontario, Alberta, or British Columbia
- 5+ years related experience in managing multi-discipline transportation projects or in heavy civil construction
- PMP certification would be an asset
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work with people at all levels including project stakeholders and clients
- The ability to effectively work remotely with teams of people who may not be at your location
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities on an ongoing basis
- Effective decision-making skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Available for occasional travel to other Entuitive offices in Canada, United States
