**The COVID Testing Attendant is a support role and is responsible for all aspects of the COVID testing process, including but not limited to Registration, Sample Collection, Administrative Activities, Sample Transportation, and Basic Facility Management(Sanitizing, Cleaning, Trash Disposal).**

**Responsibilities**:

- **Welcomes individuals and performs initial screening for COVID-19 symptoms or risks related to travel (per provincial protocols for screening prior to entry of clinical sites)**:

- **Confirms and updates appointments/list to indicate attendance**:

- **Administer, process and document rapid COVID-19 Tests**:

- **Track Patient Information in spreadsheets**:

- **Refers individuals who fail the screening protocol or have questions to the appropriate staff member (e.g., Clinical Lead) if appropriate**:

- **Monitors anyone entering the clinic to clean their hand with alcohol-based hand sanitizer; provides a mask to clients who do not have one**:

- **Determines whether the individual has any accessibility requirements (e.g., mobility issues, sight or hearing impaired) that require additional supports and refers to the appropriate staff member if appropriate (e.g., Clinical Manager)**:

- **Facilitates crowd control and clinic flow, ensuring physical distancing of at least 2 metres is maintained between clients while waiting in line to enter the clinic or in the pre-registration area with the aid of markings on the ground**:

- **Ensures that signage is in place and visible, including COVID-19 screening protocols, eligibility criteria, clinic instructions and clinic flow, as appropriate**:

- **Directs individuals to immunization area**:

- **Sanitize the work area**:

- **Provides paper documents for completion as required**:

- **Refers individuals to appropriate Clinic Lead for discussion of any potential contraindications to immunization or questions**

**Education Requirements**:

- **Education or experience in healthcare is mandatory**:

- **Experience in a Long-Term Care environment is preferred**:

- **Proficiency with computerized systems**:

- **Excellent communication skills**:

- **Good problem-solving skills and ability to manage in a fast-paced environment**:

- **Experience with Covid testing or in an immunization clinic an asset**:

- **Current certificates in CPR Level C or equivalent and First Aid**:

- **Comfortable wearing mandatory Personal Protective Equipment (PPE - mask, gloves, goggles, etc)**:

- **Valid driver’s license and criminal record clearance**

**Job Types: Temporary part time to full time hours.**

**Shifts: 8 and 12 hours**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Schedule:

- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
